Position Description

The VIP Services Representative is responsible for greeting VIP guests as well as other guests of the casino and providing them with exceptional guest service. The VIP Services Representative will handle VIP guest check-in at the hotel and at the Chairman's Club Lounge. The VIP Representative will also assist with the operation of the player development and casino host department and help facilitate the responding of VIP guest offers, events and hotel, dining and transportation reservations. This position is also responsible for data entry and collecting information, creating and issuing Player's Club cards and responding to other items or requests casino guests may require. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience:
  1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  3. Six (6) months to one year of Front Office experience required.
  4. Knowledge of the casino industry preferred.
  5. Must have a good knowledge of the surrounding community in order to provide general information and directions to guests.
  6. Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  7. Must possess basic math skills necessary to accurately calculate and process guest payments.
  8. Must have proficient computer skills.
Language Skills and Reasoning Ability:
  1. Must possess excellent communication skills.
  2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  4. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees to ensure total guest satisfaction.
  5. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted.
  1. Requires repetitive motion of hands and wrists for computer keyboarding.
  2. Adequate manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
  3. Lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds required.
  4. Occasional travel.
  5. Must be able to effectively understand and communicate to candidates and employees.
  6. Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino/hotel for long periods.
  7. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
Other:
  1. Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Gaming license.
  2. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  3. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
  4. Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
