Overview

International Data Group, (IDG), a PE-backed Data and Analytics company, has an opportunity for a Dynamic Senior Tax Manager.  Reporting to the Director of Tax, the role is pivotal in supporting the outsourced compliance function by compiling and providing accurate data and meticulously reviewing state and federal tax returns. Additionally, the Senior Tax Manager will collaborate closely with the finance team to address tax-related matters, monitor notices, review sales tax returns, and contribute expertise on international tax issues including foreign filings, tax withholding and transfer pricing.

This role can be based in an approved remote US East Coast location with the availability to come into the Needham MA

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Company’s income tax compliance obligations together with our outsourced compliance partners and provide timely and accurate financial data and analysis.
  • Review state and federal corporate income tax returns and sales and use tax returns to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with monthly tax payment processing.
  • Monitor changes in U.S. tax law to ensure income tax implications are considered.
  • Monitor changes in domestic footprint and impact on state and local apportionment and reporting obligations.
  • Prepare various ad hoc reports and analysis, including tax account and asset register reconciliations, tax impact in business transactions and tax information reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to the transformation of the income tax function to grow for growth, which includes tax technology adoption, process simplification and standardization, and the use of data and technology.
  • Assist with tax research, planning and special projects as needed.
  • Ability to manage a small global team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA and/or Masters of Tax preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate income tax preparation and review experience in public accounting and/or industry.
  • Previous management  experience
  • Must have excellent research skills and experience using research software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced excel skills (Power Query and PowerPivot a plus).
  • Knowledge of systems associated with tax compliance (ex. OneSource, Microsoft Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream) a plus.
  • Strong multitasking skills and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

The anticipated total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $150,000 and $170,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
