Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Tax Director to join our team at International Data Group Inc. This is a dynamic role that will involve developing and participating in various tax initiatives and projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our co-sourcing firm and report directly to the Senior Tax Director.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate tax audits and administration, providing audit support to tax authorities as necessary
  • Participate in the development, design, and implementation of tax systems, policies, processes, and technology
  • Assist with foreign/domestic tax planning, research, structuring, and compliance for both U.S. and international tax laws and regulations
  • Provide tax leadership on the company's strategic transactions
  • Support various special tax-related projects, including transfer pricing studies, tax saving opportunities, and process improvements
  • Manage external advisers in multiple jurisdictions
  • Participate in meetings, serve on committees, and special projects as assigned
  • Support the preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provision as necessary

Requirements
  • Convergent skillset of technical tax, accounting, and system proficiency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively with tax colleagues, finance organization teams, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Flexibility to assist with different assignments among various tax workstreams
  • Minimum 8 years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, corporation, and/or law firm
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; licensed CPA, JD/LLM or similar certifications helpful but not required

This role can be 100% remote in an approved US East Coast location. We will also consider candidates for our Needham MA office with a hybrid work environment coming into the office 2 days a week.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner.


The anticipated total annual compensation, dependent on location and experience, is between $170,000 and $250,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
