Ranked as one of the top companies in the field, the Verifications group strives to provide service excellence to Universal's clients. To support the company's continued growth, we seek a Specialist to join our growing team.
Summary: Our Verification Specialists verify information reported by our clients' job applicants. They conduct phone interviews and perform internet database research to complete these important verification activities in a timely manner. They evaluate and verify supporting documents and accurately input the information into our proprietary system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively and efficiently manage inbound calls for Employment, Education, Reference, and Licensing Verification.
- Follow policies and procedures to maintain an effective follow-up process for all verifications to ensure timely completion of background checks.
- Accurate data entry of verified information such previous employment, graduation dates, degrees achieved, etc.
- Ensure accuracy and receive assurance of information obtained for verifications.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently to all parties involved in obtaining verification information by phone or email.
- Work to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Understanding of general computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook
- Experience with researching business information on the web
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail and Goal Oriented
- Ability to multi-task and manage daily assignments
- Team motivated and able to work well with others, also works well independently
- Must be able to type 38 WPM
- Experience working with sensitive data
- Reverse address/telephone tracking
- 1 year of customer service or call center experience preferred.

This position is full-time and on-site Monday-Friday.
Must be available for an in-person interview. Fluent English, both written and verbal, is required.
