The C2 Interoperability Verification Specialist is essential in guaranteeing that NATO's Command and Control (C2) frameworks and procedures are fully compatible across all member and partner nations. This role is pivotal in enhancing NATO's ability to function smoothly in joint and coalition scenarios by spearheading interoperability verification, validation, and testing initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:- Interoperability Assessment: Direct the strategy, implementation, and evaluation of interoperability assessments for NATO's C2 frameworks, including the coordination of significant exercises.
- Verification and Validation (V&V): Execute thorough V&V processes to confirm that all C2 frameworks comply with NATO's interoperability criteria, utilizing standardized methodologies and tools for performance evaluation in joint operations.
- Collaboration and Engagement: Collaborate closely with NATO member and partner nations, as well as industry and academic institutions, to tackle interoperability challenges and promote innovation in C2 frameworks.
- Standards Development: Assist in the formulation and enhancement of NATO's interoperability standards and guidelines, ensuring they adapt to new technological and operational demands.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive reports and recommendations based on the outcomes of interoperability assessments and V&V activities, informing NATO's strategic decisions and capability development.
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in systems engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in systems interoperability, verification and validation, or related fields. Previous experience with NATO or multinational defense organizations is highly valued.

- Security Clearance: A current SECRET security clearance is mandatory.
