Description

MSPCC a division of Eliot, is seeking a Mental and Behavioral Health Coach that has experience working with young children with challenging behaviors and/or mental health issues.

Our Early Childhood MH Consultation program works with early education, care, out of school programs & families to respond to the social-emotional, behavioral & mental health needs of children. Early assessment, through classroom observations, standardized tools & family meetings, facilitates the implementation of strategies that aim to improve social-emotional development. Strengthening the collaboration between parents & childcare providers ensures the best results for children in the home & school environments.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with childcare programs and families

  • Provide behavior coaching on site at childcare programs/family child care homes for young children with challenging behaviors

  • Provide support and modeling regarding behavior management strategies

  • Provide support, training, and resources regarding classroom management techniques

  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual behavior support plans

  • Access resources to appropriately answer questions and provide guidance to staff and parents

  • Provide information, written resources, and referral information to assigned cases

Schedule: Monday through Friday (9am-5pm or 8am-4pm)

Rate: $22.59/hour

Education

Required

  • Bachelors or better in Psychology

Licenses & Certifications

Required

  • MA Driver's License

Experience

Preferred

  • 2 years: Experience working with young children with challenging behaviors and/or mental health issues
