Eliot Community Human Services is in search of a dedicated Mental and Behavioral Health Coach with a background in assisting young children facing behavioral challenges and mental health concerns.


Our Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation initiative collaborates with early education settings, childcare programs, and families to address the social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health requirements of children.

Timely evaluations, conducted through classroom observations, standardized assessment tools, and family consultations, enable the implementation of strategies aimed at enhancing social-emotional growth.

Fostering collaboration between parents and childcare providers is essential to achieving optimal outcomes for children in both home and educational settings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and nurture positive relationships with childcare programs and families.
  • Deliver on-site behavior coaching at childcare facilities and family child care homes for young children exhibiting challenging behaviors.
  • Offer support and demonstrate effective behavior management techniques.
  • Provide training and resources related to classroom management practices.
  • Assist in creating and executing individualized behavior support plans.
  • Access and utilize resources to effectively address inquiries and offer guidance to staff and parents.
  • Disseminate information, written materials, and referral resources for assigned cases.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday (9am-5pm or 8am-4pm)

Qualifications:
  • Education: Required - Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Required - MA Driver's License.
  • Experience: Preferred - Minimum of 2 years working with young children experiencing behavioral challenges and/or mental health issues.
