POSITION SUMMARY

Provides general mental health and substance abuse treatment and recovery support in a residential setting. Responsible for coordinating and providing direct support services for all the clients, and their families in the substance abuse treatment program at Corazon, in partnership with clinical guidance from the Clinical Lead or Program Director. Becomes the first point of contact for all entities involved in the client's care. Facilitator of client's informed consent, treatment planning and goals, and discharge planning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
  1. Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other related field. Licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, or ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire.
  2. Experience in working in a substance abuse treatment setting; residential treatment experience a plus.
  3. Ability to demonstrate experience with providing assessment, diagnosing and counseling.
  4. Knowledge and understanding in general mental health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and serious mental illness.
  5. Possess a valid driver's license and ability to be insured under automobile insurance policy.
  6. Able to work a flexible schedule as needed per program requirements, to include weekends, evenings and holidays.
  7. Must successfully complete the agency's orientation and demonstrate competence regarding skills and knowledge per R9-20-204.
  8. Must be responsible and reliable
  9. Must be capable of dealing with crisis situations.
  10. Must conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  11. Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  12. Must be able to pass a drug test upon hire and adhere to the CPLC chemical use policy.
  13. Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire: CPR/First Aid Certification, CPI certification, AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card, current TB test.
  14. Bilingual a plus.
  15. Possess an Arizona Driver's license, vehicle insurance and ability to be covered under CPLC's policy.

Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC. However, any person approved for an exemption, without exception, is subject to masking, and other requirements established by CPLC from time to time.
