Will manage and direct accounting staff; interview, recommend for hire, schedule, assign work to, counsel, establish performance expectations, and recommend discipline and/or discharge of staff; ensure the integrity of the monthly financial reports; manage secondary market reporting requirements; provide research and analysis of investment activity, FHLB borrowings, FASB 91, ALLL calculation, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, A/P, lease accounting/reporting (ASC 842) etc.; develop required reports for filing with NCUA & IRS and prepare a variety of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; complete IT, data privacy and vendor risk assessments, and vendor due diligence; review SOC reporting requirements for applicable correspondent banks and vendors; assist with the preparation and review of the MITFCU budget and loading budget into Prologue financial reporting software; liaise with internal auditors, external auditors, and regulators; assist with the compilation of information for annual independent and regulatory audits; maintain current procedures for accounting tasks and reconciliations; and perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least seven years’ accounting and financial management experience; excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skill; ability to handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with an effective outcome; attention to detail; team-focused; advanced-level Microsoft Office skills using a PC and familiarity with financial analysis programs; ability to build relationships and strong alliances across the organization; and willingness to keep current on changes in technology and electronic and alternative delivery methods.
