Description

Job Title: Information Systems (IS) Specialist III

FLSA: Exempt

Function: Information Systems

Reports To: Director of Information Systems

Purpose: Install, maintain, test, and repair IT systems hardware and software with limited supervision. Provide technical leadership and support to resolve complex problems for staff and maintain daily IT operational procedures and documentation. Research, plan, and implement new technologies using formal project management processes. Exemplify the credit union's core purpose and core values.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely technical assistance and support for requests related to computer systems, software, hardware, peripherals, printers, teller, and telephone equipment
  • Administer user account and equipment lifecycles in a Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID environment
  • Manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and other management tools
  • Provide functional direction and support to lower graded IT staff performing the same or similar type of work
  • May provide in-depth instruction and training to staff members or groups related to technologies
  • Maintain IT support record keeping systems
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendor technical support teams, using required channels to optimize efficient support for the organization
  • Perform advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoot and resolve complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts
  • Communicate effectively with staff in person, over the phone, and by email or chat
  • Respond to requests and resolve technical issues within agreed SLA time frames
  • Assist and/or lead credit union technology projects as assigned
  • Maintain a knowledge base of technical solutions for IT staff and all users
  • Assist with maintaining records of the credit union's software, hardware, and technology equipment inventories
  • Use technical skills, soft skills, and abilities to promote a secure, reliable, and accurate computing environment
  • Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems
  • Occasional travel to credit union branch offices required
  • Follow all credit union policies, procedures, and requirements, in addition to all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
  • Create and promote a positive professional image of oneself and the credit union
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • A two-year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
  • Two to five years of enterprise IT experience required

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
  • Professional demeanor and personal accountability
  • Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Lifting (up to 50lbs) and the ability to reach, climb, and/or stoop/bend required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Occasional travel to offsite locations required
  • Occasional on-call status and after-hours work may be required
