UX Intern for Browser-based Video Surveillance System

IPConfigure is seeking a talented UI Frontend Intern to join our team and assist in the development of our Video Management System. The ideal candidate will have a passion for UX and design, along with solid skills in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while contributing to the creation of user-friendly interfaces for our platform.

IMPORTANT: This is an on-premise internship at IPConfigure's Norfolk, VA headquarters.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the UI/UX team to design and implement intuitive user interfaces for our Video Management System.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of frontend components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Work closely with backend developers to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of the frontend codebase.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in UI/UX design and frontend development.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience with frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus but not required.
