Job Summary

IPConfigure is seeking a skilled JavaScript developer to join our team as a Front-End Engineer for our browser-based video management system. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and be familiar with leading edge technologies in the IP video surveillance market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in an Agile software development process with senior developers to design and develop high-quality application code for features and system components.
  • Develop well-designed application code for features and system components, adhering to coding practices that promote code reuse and standardization.
  • Participate in feature design, ensuring a balance between business and technology requirements.
  • Deliver code as scheduled that meets design specifications.
  • Identify and resolve defects in features.
  • Provide time and resource estimates for own feature areas.
  • Identify risks and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, React, etc., CSS3, and HTML5.
  • Object Oriented design background.
  • Web service programming (SOA, SOAP, REST).
  • An active concern for quality engineering, with experience building scalable web applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with video codecs, MJPEG, MPEG-4 Part 2, H.264.
  • Familiarity with multimedia streaming (RTSP, progressive download).
  • Knowledge of network programming (TCP, UDP, Unicast, Multicast).
  • Code samples and portfolio of designs.
  • Contributions to open source projects (e.g. GitHub).
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years experience developing long-lived, enterprise JavaScript applications.
