About the Position

Position Description

The Director of Performance Excellence will lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and quality across the Enterprise. This role involves developing and implementing strategies, driving performance improvements, and fostering and developing a culture of continuous improvement. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve operational goals. The Director will be a "structured disruptor" to influence transformational change.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

* Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured methodologies to identify and eliminate inefficiencies across Enterprise value streams.

* Develop and implement process improvement projects and initiatives.

* Monitor and report on the progress of improvement initiatives.

* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure operational performance.

* Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

* Ensure alignment of operational goals with business objectives.

* Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of improvement initiatives.

* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gain buy-in and support.

* Provide training, coach, and support to teams on new processes and tools.

* Develop and implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards.

* Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

* Address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

* Lead and mentor a team of performance excellence professionals.

* Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

* Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in performance excellence, process improvement, or related roles.
  • 8+ years of people management experience required. 5+ years of progressive management strongly preferred.

Critical Skills

  • Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements and achieving results.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in structured problem solving methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and control.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field of study, Or an equivalent level of professional experience required. Master's degree highly desired.
