Senior Account Manager - Retail Partnerships

Location: Atlanta, GA or Bentonville, AR
Reports to: Senior Leadership (e.g., Head of Sales or Chief Marketing Officer)

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Account Manager to lead and manage key relationships, specifically with Walmart, one of our most critical accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive business growth, foster strong partnerships, and ensure the successful execution of sales strategies. Your ability to align with internal teams and Walmart’s objectives will be vital to ensuring consistent results and growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Key Account Leadership: Serve as the main point of contact for Walmart, understanding their needs, goals, and challenges. Tailor solutions to maximize opportunities and ensure alignment with compliance and performance targets.
  • Growth Strategy & Execution: Work with Walmart and internal teams to drive sales performance. Identify new opportunities such as category expansion, product launches, and retail initiatives to foster growth.
  • Sales Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and execute sales strategies that align with the broader business goals. Lead the development of action plans to achieve sales objectives.
  • Forecasting & Sales Performance: Partner with internal stakeholders to develop accurate sales forecasts. Monitor performance against targets, analyze variances, and adjust strategies to meet objectives.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Ensure effective collaboration with Operations, Shipping, and Marketing teams to deliver products and programs efficiently and on time.
  • Market Insights & Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior within Walmart. Use insights to inform sales strategies, spot opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Promotional & Trade Activities: Partner with the marketing team to create and implement trade programs, promotions, and campaigns within the Walmart account. Evaluate the effectiveness of these initiatives and offer feedback for optimization.
  • Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key Walmart stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor by proactively addressing their needs and offering solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management or sales within the consumer goods sector.
  • At least 2 years of experience working directly with Walmart in roles such as merchant, replenishment, or category management, or as an account manager for a Walmart supplier.
  • Proficient in Walmart’s suite of tools, including Retail Link, Luminate, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to interpret sales metrics and derive actionable insights.
  • Results-driven, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales analytics platforms.

Compensation: 90-120k
