We are seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. As the Office Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting various administrative tasks within our organization. The ideal candidate will have compassion and empathy dealing with the elderly on a daily basis, a minimum of two years of experience in administrative roles and possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft office - specifically in Microsoft Excel. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively is essential for success in this role. Position will be in office, 32 hours, Monday - Thursday

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone in a friendly manner and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Type, copy and/or distribute correspondence or forms as needed.
  • Open, sort and distribute mail as needed.
  • Work on special ongoing and nonrecurring projects.
  • Assist with fundraising events
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned
  • File/Folder creation
  • Set-up/creation of spreadsheets
  • Maintain & updates lists
  • Update and maintain social media platforms
  • Order and maintain office supplies.

Qualifications/ Requirements :

  • Compassion and empathy dealing with the elderly on a daily basis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Access, Word, Outlook and specifically expert experience in Excel
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to interact with all types of people.
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Detailed oriented and organized
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment
  • Bi Lingual Preferred
  • BCI clearance prior to start of employment
