Description

The Production Coordinator works with OEE sheets, inputs, and reports for the Indianapolis plant. This includes, but is not limited to scanning all manufacturing paperwork, working with the Warehouse Supervisor regarding monitoring the integrity of inventory and material handling processes to ensure that both company and customer requirements are met.

Work Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • Collect data from the Indianapolis plant on overall equipment efficiency.
  • Create reports of requested data.
  • Interface with uniform vendor regarding uniforms and supplies.
  • Interface with First Aid vendor regarding supplies.
  • Compile employee safety and training records and scans into computer.
  • Assist with development of safety presentations and safety training.
  • Assist with MRO purchases for the maintenance department.
  • Perform routine audits of stock.
  • Interface with customer service regarding inventory related details.
  • Answer questions about data from site management or leadership.
  • Work with Warehouse Supervisor for inventory related transactions.
  • Assist in the yearly physical inventory including entry of tags.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and company ERP software
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to accurately maintain data with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully work with other team members and departments
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or an equivalent amount of experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in production and/or inventory preferred
  • Experience with barcode scanners and label printers a plus

Contacts involve giving or exchanging information of a limited controversial nature.

Regularly
  • Communicates via phone, email, in person
  • Required to sit, perform keyboard work, for prolonged periods of time
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Operates a computer and other office equipment such as a copy machine and printer
Frequently
  • Talk and hear to coordinate day-to-day phone and in person transactions
Occasionally
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel to other locations as needed
  • Exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, hot and cold weather conditions
  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard

Standard office and production environment. The noise level is usually low to moderate, due to office and production equipment.

Proper personal safety equipment is to be used as required by plant safety procedures.
