Position Type/Hours:
Full-time, in-Office position. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CST.
Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine vision systems for quality inspections and for improving machine performance.
Essential Functions:
- System Design and Development:
- Develop algorithms for image processing, object detection, recognition, tracking, and classification.
- Integrate machine vision solutions with existing hardware and software infrastructure.
- Image Acquisition and Preprocessing:
- Develop calibration procedures to ensure accurate measurements and correct lens distortions.
- System Integration and Testing:
- Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure system performance meets requirements and specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status, results, and recommendations.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during system deployment and operation.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in machine vision software like Cognex, Matrox, and Keyence.
- 5 years’ experience in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning, vision control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools.
- Positive Teamwork Orientation as well as the ability to work independently

- Communication Proficiency (Verbal and Written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio programming languages such as C# and Visual Basic.
- Familiarity with hardware components such as cameras, sensors, and actuators.
- Knowledge of robotics, automation, or industrial control systems.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
