The Manufacturing Engineer position is pivotal in connecting engineering with production, ensuring the efficiency of processes, production techniques, safety protocols, quality standards, and Lean Manufacturing principles within a diverse and custom-focused environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies such as 6S, Visual Management, and Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager to meet organizational goals
  • Oversee project management in collaboration with supply chain and manufacturing teams
  • Determine materials and manufacturing techniques for new product lines
  • Evaluate current materials and manufacturing processes for feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software for intricate custom components
  • Partner with design engineers to enhance Design for Manufacturing
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams to uphold product quality
  • Provide training to colleagues as necessary
  • Carry out additional assigned tasks
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years of pertinent manufacturing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is essential
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design principles
  • Ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings
  • Experience in machine tool manufacturing is advantageous
  • Familiarity with quality laboratory inspection tools
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and efficient work methods
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Work Environment:

Awareness of potential hazards in both office and shop settings is required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, and push/pull objects
  • Capability to bend, squat/kneel, and handle moderately heavy items
  • Proficient in sitting, speaking, and manipulating various items
