Position Summary: The Marketing Communications Specialist supports all of Brohn by leading the development and execution of marketing programs. This role is essential in enhancing the company's visibility across various audiences including customers, Realtors, the public, the media, and investors. The Specialist will be responsible for setting objectives and strategies, presenting plans, and managing the day-to-day execution of promotional and branding campaigns. With a positive attitude and strong alignment with the Brohn brand and culture, the Specialist will drive innovative marketing strategies to generate interest and engagement in Brohn Homes.

Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Brohn Homes and Community Level Marketing: Develop and execute community-specific marketing programs. Support the sales team with systems and programs that bolster sales efforts.
  • New Communities: Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement marketing programs. Lead the execution of grand opening events.
  • Brand Initiatives: Coordinate the annual promotional calendar and media plans. Align brand initiatives with local opportunities, integrating events, partnerships, and sponsorships effectively.
  • Drive Community Engagement: Partner with field teams to execute CSR programs, acquire new customers, and foster brand advocacy. Manage internal communications for community updates.
  • Digital Marketing: Update and maintain the digital footprint, including listings, SEM, SMM, SEO, third party partnerships, and social media channels. Oversee the Brohn Homes website and ensure it reflects current marketing strategies.
  • Operations Liaison: Understand and apply strategic insights from operations to marketing initiatives. Develop the marketing mindset of the broader team through training and collaboration. Attend community/market visits with Marketing Director to meet with Sales team and Area Mangers to fully identify and evaluate opportunities.
  • Analysis, Reporting and Recommendation: Utilize data and insights to inform and refine local marketing strategies. Evaluate campaign performance, track trends, and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Customer & Community Focused: Analyze consumer needs, trends, and data to engage the community effectively and build emotional connections.
  • Budget Management: Track and manage the marketing budget. Identify and present opportunities that may require budget adjustments or additional investment.
  • Competitive Intelligence & Strategy: Monitor competitors, analyze their tactics, and provide recommendations to protect market share and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Creative Development & Production: Manage local design requests and ensure marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines. Create and update materials for various platforms.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Develop relationships with supported charities and philanthropic partners. Enhance and strengthen the CSR program through creative initiatives.
  • General Duties: Assist with setting departmental goals, strategies, and the annual promotional calendar. Handle invoicing, cost-benefit analysis, and other administrative tasks. Collaborate with Clayton Homes and Clayton Properties Groups to share best practices and optimize local marketing efforts. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts, including planning, execution, analysis, and optimization.
  • Experience in event planning preferred.
  • Experience in media planning and local partnership development preferred.
  • Proficiency in social media management and multi-channel campaign execution.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools, including Canva and Adobe Illustrator, preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret reporting metrics and drive strategic decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage various projects and deadlines effectively.
  • High standards of conduct, efficiency, and productivity.


Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, exempt position. Under the Regulations, Part 541, an exempt employee is one who is not entitled to the minimum wage or overtime pay protections of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This position may work outside of normal business hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.

Travel: Must be willing to travel dependent on company need to all Brohn locations and meetings with external key partners as necessary within reasonable time frame, either by driving or flying. Overnight trips will be necessary when traveling outside of the local area.
