Career Coaching Job Description

Position Overview

The Career Coach for Brown County Schools is an 18-month grant funded position that will be a part of an Indiana Uplands regional effort with ROI and 12 schools with the

purpose of building the capacity to build a "learners to earners" model. This will be

accomplished by collaborating with individuals within the school and community to

improve the connections between the schools, students, and employers with an

emphasis on carrying out the programs and goals outlined in House Enrolled Act 1002.

Candidates must possess strong problem solving skills, stellar communications skills,

and a passion for creating successful programming.

This position requires a mission-driven individual to drive success. This role will include

some or all of the following responsibilities:

? Build strong relationships with employer and community partners

? Collaborate with schools and employer groups to provide Career Discovery

Meetings for 11th and 12th graders as described in HEA 1002

? Coordinate enrollment and management for students eligible to utilize Career

Scholarship Accounts (CSA)

? Actively engage with the school district, employers, and community partners for a

robust career awareness continuum

? Provide 1:1 or small group Career Coaching for identified students

? Participate in ROI's Career Coaching Fellowship and the regional Career

Coaching Community of Practice

? Participate in the school team that will complete a crosswalk through the Indiana

Career Advising Framework

? Provide thoughtful and responsive support as needs arise, including working

closely across entities to problem-solve unique challenges

? Plan, organize, and implement successful career connection strategies

? Diligently track and analyze program data

We are looking for an individual that has experience in the workforce outside of

education that can help our students in making connections from learner to earner.
