As director, Merchandise, you will lead our US merchandise category team, bringing strategic platforms and innovative new products to market that delight customers, inspire our partners, and drive our business. As director, Merchandise , you will…

· Use product and marketing expertise, broad general management capabilities and sound financial acumen to fuel the growth of the merchandise business from near-in to long-term, ensuring products within the category meet or exceed expected results.

  • Lead the product management campaign lifecycle from strategy briefing to execution, while tailoring product assortments and innovative go-to-market strategies to meet relevant customer need states and occasions.

· Collaborate with company operated internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners, providing thought leadership to assess merchandise opportunities while building, optimizing, and managing relevant product management processes.

  • Lead annual and quarterly product business planning cycles with our Licensees and business development leaders to identify, develop, launch, and optimize Licensee merchandise portfolios.

  • Leverage insights to develop and implement customer, partner, business, and Licensee solutions that deliver value and exceed business objectives.

  • Coach, develop and lead a team of high caliber partners, setting goals for the broad team, developing organizational capabilities and modeling how we work together

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Progressive experience in product or brand management (6 years+)

  • Accountability for building product strategic plans (3 years+)

  • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
