Quality Technician

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join our team at our facility in Livonia, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience with various quality inspection tools and techniques to ensure our products meet the highest standards.
Responsibilities1. Perform first piece and in-process dimensional / visual inspections to verify part correctness per standard procedures
2. Coordinate tool corrections and adjustments with Cross functional team to achieve part correctness
3. Quarantine and disposition parts as well as participate in Material Review Board
4. Utilize precision measuring tools to assist in receiving inspection
5. Perform red-rabbit verification on inspection machinery (Plant 2)
6. Compile data and enter into an End-Of-Shift Report
7. Participate in various quality studies and improvement initiatives
8. Perform and participate in audits as assigned by Quality Manager, (IATF, floor, internal, LPA, dock) and report results
9. Train and mentor new QA inspectors as needed
10. Train production Operators on in-process inspection methods
11. Perform all other duties as assigned by Quality Manager
12. Use, understanding, and execution of LEAP/5S, HSE standards.
Qualifications- Prior experience in quality inspection
- Proficiency in using Calipers and Micrometers
- Familiarity with Vision System and CMM
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of GD&T principles
- Strong data analysis and manipulation skills
