Ocean Beauty Seafoods Distribution in Dallas, TX is looking for a Lead Seafood Receiver to work Sunday - Friday. We have a busy department that is always on the go. We process hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh and frozen seafood through our facility and are looking for a Receiver to lead the department at the forefront of our processing chain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Receiving fresh and frozen products from our outside vendors
  • Counting the cases and verifying the case count with the paperwork. Alerting buyers and other departments to discrepancies and problems.
  • Able to troubleshoot problems, communicate and work well with all departments of the warehouse.
  • Conducting QC inspections on all incoming product and work with buyers to ensure quality of product received. Alert food safety personnel to potential issues and assist with resolution.
  • Be familiar with the other areas of the warehouse so that all product is received and processed efficiently.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of product availability, both internally and in-coming, for each day
  • Be familiar with HACCP and QC requirements for incoming and outgoing product.
  • Able to interact with state and federal agencies in the case of recall or inspection.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • You must be willing to work in a cold and wet environment.
  • Must have basic math skills and a great work ethic.
  • Willing to follow direction from our QA department and the floor supervisor.
  • Seafood experience is a plus but willing to train the right person.
  • Preferred training in HACCP, Sanitation Controls/Procedures.
  • Able to lift 75 pounds
  • Able to stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours
  • Able to use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Requires a self-starter who can work independently and with others as a team.
  • Ability to work at a steady pace and follow written and oral directions.
  • Knowledge of the seafood species and grades is encouraged.
  • Must be accurate on all paperwork and have good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
