As a Tradeshow & Customer Event Specialist for Koch Engineered Solutions (KES), you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our customer experience and event strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to manage and execute a wide array of events, including customer meetings, site visits, and tradeshows. This involves comprehensive planning-from budget management to logistics-and occasional on-site support to ensure each event is impactful and aligns with our strategic goals. By analyzing feedback and competitive activities, you will drive continuous improvements to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.

Location: Preference for Wichita, but open to Houston or Atlanta

What You Will Do

  • Partner with segment marketing and business commercial teams to take a cross-channel approach to a variety of events, including customer meetings, site visits, and tradeshows to increase effectiveness and value creation.
  • Proactively create and execute a plan for each show that includes due dates, budgets, booth design and setup, exhibitor orders, shipping information, literature and promotional materials, meal and event reservations, and other logistics.
  • Using surveys and lead analysis, evaluate the effectiveness of each event and recommend any needed improvements to stakeholders.
  • Represent KES at events on-site as needed and assist with logistics, travel, and other activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business, acting as a thought partner to make recommendations.
  • Monitor and report regularly on competitive tradeshow and event activity to help our brands establish a best-in-class customer experience.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience working in a deadline-driven position with a track record of managing competing priorities, including detailed event logistics.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused and results driven.
  • Experience engaging with customers and stakeholders at all levels within an organization.
  • Proven ability to pivot and generate creative solutions when needed with a sense of urgency.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to events and meetings- up to 25% during busy periods.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Experience managing detailed tradeshow logistics.
  • Experience in the industrial, refining, and/or petrochemical industries.
  • Written communication and presentation experience.
  • Experience supporting global initiatives with stakeholders and vendors in other countries.
