Pharmacist in Charge - Home Infusion

Location: White Plains, NY

About the company: Our client is the premier national pharmacy for home infusion services, expanding to North New York City - White Plains, NY. The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) will work with franchise owners to launch the office and territory.

Position Summary: As the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the North New York City - White Plains, NY office, the candidate will oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of top-quality patient care while adhering to industry regulations and standards.
Compensation Plan: Salary starting in the $125k-150k+ range with $175k-300k+ total compensation and escalating compensation plan. Profit sharing eligibility. Please apply for additional details.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Pharmacy Operations & Compliance
    1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring all practices are in line with New York state and federal regulations.
    2. Ensure that the pharmacy and its staff adhere to all regulations, guidelines, and best practices for home infusion therapies.
    3. Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications and supplies.
    4. Handle record-keeping, documentation, and periodic audits to ensure compliance and high-quality care.
  2. Patient Care
    1. Oversee the preparation and dispensation of medications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and the highest standards of care.
    2. Collaborate with healthcare providers to customize and optimize medication regimens for patients receiving home infusion therapies.
    3. Provide medication therapy management, patient counseling, and education related to home infusion therapies.
  3. Leadership & Team Management
    1. Lead, train, and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.
    2. Promote continuous learning, keeping the team updated on the latest in home infusion therapies and technologies.
    3. Address any staff concerns, conflicts, or performance issues in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration
    1. Liaise with healthcare professionals, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and quality care.
    2. Represent White Plains, NY branch in professional and industry forums, sharing knowledge and networking with peers in the home infusion space.
Qualifications:
  1. A valid Pharmacist license in the state of New York.
  2. Extensive experience (5+ years preferred) in the home infusion space.
  3. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a pharmacy team.
  4. Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
