The Job

The Strategic Implementation Manager will play an active role in implementing highly complex, cross-functional initiatives as prioritized by senior executive leadership. This position will serve as an internal consultant, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and completing necessary analysis to implement strategic initiatives across SCAN departments.

You Will

Leads end-to-end implementation of initiatives, including program-level planning/scoping and governance deliverable creation in alignment with SIPEO leadership expectations and quality standards.

Conducts business process redesign/analysis, supporting qualitative and quantitative analysis as required by the needs of the assigned program/initiative.

Develops, maintains, and publishes various work products including but not limited to project work plans; action items/risks & issues/decisions trackers; status reports; meeting agendas and supporting notes; draft communications; process flows, policies and procedures, and training materials as needed.

Delivers against SIPEO standards and various governance activities (e.g., developing materials to support/facilitate SIPEO discussions, Steering Committee meetings, etc.).

Facilitates SIPEO and/or functional workstream meetings end-to-end when necessary (e.g., agenda creation; host meeting; notes creation); can extend to meetings internal to SCAN and with external stakeholders.

Supports identification, management, and tracking of key risks and issues for the program; proactively identifies risks and issues when appropriate.

Serves as internal consultant to program/initiative stakeholders; delivers strategic advice to teams, peers.

Responsible for appropriate change management practice in partnership with stakeholders and delivery work team to accurately and timely reflect program/project change controls that align with SIPEO standards.

Performs research/due diligence to complete responsibilities successfully.

Ability to flex to new priorities/work assignments (e.g., preparing draft presentations to Board, Steering Committee, and other governance-type audiences).

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

4 - 6 years of management consulting, project management, analytics, and/or healthcare administration experience.

At least 6 years of relevant program management experience where the individual has led the planning and implementation of strategic initiatives (including business process redesign/analysis work).

Experience in collaborating with team members on project related items that impact the ability to meet program objectives (e.g., providing stakeholder management support, issue resolution, risk management, scheduling, and all other project management involved topics)

Experience facilitating complex decision making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities.

Foundational understanding in at least one or more of the following: health plan functional areas; government programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Duals); governance infrastructure & delivery.

Leadership- Lead and inspire teams to achieve.

Problem Solving- Excellent problem-solving skills.

Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong communication, presentation development and delivery skills.

Proven track record of effectively managing programs encompassing multiple large-scale, diverse, and complex projects executed simultaneously. Ability to excel in an ambiguous environment, flexing to new priorities/work assignments (e.g., preparing draft presentations to Board, Steering Committee).

Highly motivated, with ability to work independently, with a self-starter mindset and proactive inclination to think through and execute on tactical responsibilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with ability to balance shifting priorities.

Strong knowledge of program management processes, facilitating the creation of standard program documents and artifacts supporting program tracking and deliverables. Strong knowledge of business process redesign/analysis and/or technology system/solutions-focused implementations.

Excellent critical thinking, active listening and decision-making/problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders both in-person and virtually.

Possess excellent time management and organizational skills; is dependable, enthusiastic, self-starting and self-motivated. Uses time effectively, reacts professionally and with composure under pressure. Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership, business, and technology stakeholders to accomplish expected, committed program outcomes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Strong work ethic, close attention to detail, and passion for excellence.

Knowledge of managed care health insurance programs; strong experience in the healthcare payer industry and knowledge of Medicare.

Ability to work independently on a team, and with remote teammates.
