We are searching for a detail-oriented and proactive EHS Coordinator to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees while adhering to all environmental regulations. You will work closely with the EHS Manager and other departments to implement and maintain safety protocols, conduct inspections, and contribute to a strong safety culture.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
Assist the EHS Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs specific to the manufacturing environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of machinery, equipment, and work areas to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Participate in hazard assessments and risk evaluations, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor and maintain safety data, including incident reports, near misses, and safety training records.
  • Coordinate and support the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees on various EHS topics.
  • Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials according to regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date EHS documentation, including permits, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and training records.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Support the EHS Manager with budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Stay informed of current EHS trends and best practices within the manufacturing industry.

IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field preferred; Associate's degree with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety or environmental role, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of basic EHS principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of relevant environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA) a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
