Position Description

Job Purpose

The Finance Intern will assist the finance department in day-to-day operations, including financial analysis, reporting, data entry, and other tasks as needed. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in finance and accounting, develop skills, and learn about the financial operations of the company.

Duties Responsibilities

  • Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing reports.
  • Support the finance team in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct variance analysis and report findings.
  • Enter financial data into accounting systems accurately.
  • Maintain and update financial records and databases.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts and verifying transactions.
  • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and presentations.
  • Compile data and create charts, graphs, and tables for reports.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assist in processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Help follow up on outstanding payments and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Support internal and external audit activities as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and assignments as required.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team.
Compensation

$20-25/hour

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6 months of relatable experience.
  • Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in finance.
