Responsibilities: Oversee and support a team of five highly technical and experienced in the flexible packaging industry sales professionals. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness. Accompany sales representatives on customer visits to help finalize business opportunities. Strategically promote new products within the existing and new customer base to drive sales and increase market share. Collaborate with the sales team to establish and expand new accounts. Develop and implement strategies to sell value-added products such as custom print packaging, SUP Packaging, high-end flexible packaging, and clamshells into new and existing accounts. Work closely with operations to ensure inventory levels align with sales projections and vendor capacities. Conduct quarterly evaluations of pricing to adjust VMI accounts. Drive topline and bottom-line growth within the assigned territory. Set and achieve goals for territory expansion, including the potential addition of new sales personnel. Actively participate in industry association functions such as Trade Shows to network, gather market insights, and represent the company. Ensure alignment of marketing strategies with sales objectives. Assist in the development of new designs and projects to meet customer needs and market trends. Collaborate with our vendors to explore new materials and innovative packaging solutions, particularly for produce packaging and sustainability. Maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty. Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries effectively. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company sales targets. Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of sales managerial experience in the flexible packaging industry. Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company sales targets. In-depth understanding of the flexible packaging industry, including market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Experience in promoting new products within the existing customer base and identifying new business opportunities. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in professional Selling, Marketing, Business, or a related field. Extensive knowledge of Vertical Form and Fill Film and equipment, Flexo Printing, Converting, and Lamination processes is preferred. Proven successful track record of building and managing a professional sales team. Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Exceptional analytical skills to assess market trends, sales performance, and pricing strategies. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Ability to present and communicate effectively with customers, team members, and senior management. Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company sales targets.
