Position Description:

Asan Insurance Producer you will implement marketing strategiesto develop a strong network of prospective clients. You will develop leads andcontact them via phone and face-to-face to market insuranceproducts.You will be responsible for building our business and service existing clients toinclude annual reviews and seeking opportunities to present products thatenhance their insurance portfolio.

PrimaryResponsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Maintain current location book ofbusiness and roll into standard markets from excess and surplus where necessary
  • Achieve new business sales goals annually
  • Cross-sell between departments
  • Generate new business leads andappointments to include networking events
  • Complete quoting process using knowledgeof VA markets and technical knowledge in an effort to provide a solutionprospect
  • Work collaboratively with the account managementteam, to maximize results
  • Working knowledge of Applied EPICsystem to support the marketing process, including input of accurate and timelyinformation relative to first meeting and quoting process
  • Stay up to date on industry standards throughcontinuing education and industry news.
  • Use leads to establish contact andschedule appointments
  • Meet with prospective clients
  • Meet with existing clients to performannual reviews
  • Must conduct phone prospecting,face-to-face prospecting and social media efforts
  • Conduct sales presentation with theintent of selling an insurance product
  • Provide claim assistance to clients
  • Solicit referrals from clients
Experience &Qualifications:
  • 3 years' experience in Commercial Lines Insurance or equivalent education and relatedtraining
  • Thorough knowledge ofcommercial insurance and marketing processes
  • Strong verbal andwritten interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work withminimum supervision
  • Sales driven
  • Must be licensed in the state
  • Maintain Errors & Omissions Insurance
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Meet state continuing educationrequirements
  • Ability to utilize computer programs andunderstand functionality.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Above average analytical skills todetermine prospective client needs
