Job Summary:
PIC Group has an excellent opportunity for an Instrumentation Controls & Electrical (IC&E) Technician at a combined cycle gas turbine facility in Mankato, Minnesota. The IC&E Technician will have expertise in electrical maintenance, control systems, and instrumentation, and will ensure safe and environmentally compliant plant operations. They will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting systems such as digital control systems, control circuits, power circuits, and electrical and control devices on plant equipment. The IC&E Technician will also participate in the plant maintenance program as a system owner and document maintenance activities using a computer-based work management system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Perform electrical maintenance on equipment exceeding 600 volts and backup responsibilities for equipment below 600 volts
• Conduct job safety briefings and verify absence of voltage on all systems.
• Wire and unwire motors and components during maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and communicate cause of protective relay trips.
• Collaborate with System Ownership team on PLC programming, system optimization, maintenance strategy, and budgeting.
• Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities in a collaborative team manner.
• Provide oversight and assist other work groups during major overhauls or equipment maintenance.
• Perform rigging activities associated with maintenance tasks.
• Operate various mobile equipment including but not limited to forklifts, skid steers, telehandlers and/or similar equipment.
• Participate in training programs and adhere to written operating and maintenance procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergency callouts and be available for night, overtime, weekend, and holiday work.
• Occasional travel may be required

Job Requirements:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills and possess the ability to learn.
• Ability to make maintenance related decisions with minimal direct supervision
• Expertise with digital control systems, PLCs, Siemens T3000, CEMS, and Emerson Ovation Control System
• Excellent writing, presentation, and persuasive verbal skills to promote business initiatives.
• Experience with industrial troubleshooting and maintenance
• Ability to interpret control drawings and P&ID's.
• Knowledge of instrumentation test equipment, signal generators, relay tests sets, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of industry related CEM System hardware, software and reporting
• Basic computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point required.
• Availability for extended hours, varied shifts, weekend, and holiday work as needed.
• Valid U.S. Driver's license with acceptable MVR history.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasionally work at heights, climb ladders, stairways, and platforms.
• Required to wear PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and steel-toe boots.

Education / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
• 7+ years electrical maintenance troubleshooting and repair or equivalent required
• 7+ years experience with electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation and process controls for power plants required
