Senior Avionics Electrical Technician

Job Description:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 6 years of experience in avionics/electrical career field or equivalent education and experience
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing avionics/electronic aircraft equipment and systems
  • Teach installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems
  • Ensure quality and efficient installations, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems
  • Conduct operational tests and evaluate performance and reliability of aircraft systems
  • Enforce company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and safety regulations
  • Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting other aircraft systems or disciplines, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, etc.
  • APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
