Your role at BHSN:

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the mental health clinic. Support providers, clients, customer experience and nursing through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Hours for this position will be 10am-6pm/11am-7pm.

What your day might look like:
  • Train with customer experience to assist in answering phones, scheduling clients for appointments, being the face for when clients and visitors enter the clinic.
  • Assists individuals in making appointments for various clinical services throughout the BHSN System
  • Identifies specific patient needs to determine appropriate appointment type, location and urgency
  • Obtains insurance authorizations/pre-authorizations as required
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
Your skills and qualifications:
  • High School / GED diploma required
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Degree in Medical Assistance is preferred
