Client Benefits Specialist - Community Support Program

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a Client Benefits Specialist to work in our adult outpatient Community Support Program.

As a Client Benefits Specialist, you will work closely with the clients of the Community Support Program to manage a variety of Medicaid and other benefits-related functions. The Benefits Specialist will work with clients, administrative support staff and clinical staff, as well as the staff at DHHS and other agencies to ensure that clients obtain and maintain benefits for which they qualify.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with the initial Medicaid benefit application process and other required forms
  • Provide community-based support in obtaining verifications
  • Attend face-to-face interviews at the Division of Family Assistance Office in Concord
  • Provide clinical, functional support services to clients
  • Manage the appeal process for denials and attend appointments and hearings as necessary
  • Support clients on their redeterminations if necessary
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Rehabilitation, or Human Services required.
  • Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative is required.
  • Experience working in behavioral health services, or experience working with State, Federal or local welfare, disability, or other entitlement programs is preferred.
