Description

We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative, that will be responsible for sales activities, including lead generation and close. Develops and implements agreed sales/business plan which will meet business goals to expand customer base in the marketing area. Works within the sales and supporting departments for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values. This position has the potential to earn unlimited commissions without a cap (our top performers earn $150K+)

Essential Job Functions :
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.
  • Responsible for sourcing, developing, and maintaining customer relationships by referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules in a database or Microsoft Outlook to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Develop annual business plan in conjunction with the Director of Sales, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year to meet or exceed personal sales quotas.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to bid on contracts.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, bids, quotes, and sales contracts.
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns.
  • Proactively negotiate with vendors for deviated cost support in the form of, i.e., rebates, file backs, conversions, etc.
  • Review accounts to maximize profitability; inform customers of price updates.
  • Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce inventory.
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans.
  • Coordinate with executive management as well as customer service and purchasing, credit, and other sales staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and grooming.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all sales support departments.
  • Build and sustain rapport and relationships with key customers.
  • Represent the company at all times.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
Marginal Job Functions:
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and product training sessions.
  • Follow-up for collection of payment when needed.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services when needed.

Requirements
  • Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Strong business development, account management, and communication skills; able to recognize and recall nuance from conversations as well as present written data/information in a concise, cogent format.
  • Ability to prospect and close business to business accounts.
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.
  • Ability to learn and operate ERP system.
  • Proficient in arithmetic and a background in pricing product.
  • Firm understanding of gross margins; able to calculate transactional and account profitability using Microsoft Excel.
  • Must be self-motivated, comfortable taking direction, personable, and a team player.
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in sales.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited university or college, preferred.
