Job Summary:
As a vital part of our System Operations Department, Compliance Auditors play a crucial role in managing risks and ensuring that our department operations comply strictly with the regulations that govern us.

Job Description:

  • Audit daily operations, enforce compliance with internal regulations, develop findings report to management, and ensure compliance with legal and federal laws.
  • Review department policies, create metrics and information to help track compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits to identify potential weaknesses and noncompliance situations.
  • Generate reports for management with audit findings.
  • Develop risk assessments to identify and characterize risk. Stay updated on all compliance requirements for the System Operation department.
  • Review and maintain updated departmental internal company policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Analyze potential risks within the department and its practices to avoid possible compliance issues.
  • Track reported department violations and the responses and plans regarding these allegations.
  • Communicate with employees and ensure everyone complies with internal and external laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and other units when needed.
  • Support in creating training to educate employees on regulations and industry practices.
  • Stay informed of internal standards and business goals.
  • Demonstrate integrity and professional ethics.
  • Conduct major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.
  • Other duties assigned based on necessity.
Additional Job Description:

Education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
  • Preferred in the Compliance sector.
  • Experience with audits.
  • Strong Laws and regulations understanding.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with compliance reporting is required.
  • Strong ability to communicate and simplify complex and technical information is required.
  • Strong Analytical skills and ability to prepare reports is required.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish with the ability to read, write and speak.
