Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the company's financial health and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Develop and monitor company budgets and forecasts to ensure financial stability and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and international financial regulations and standards.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Coordinate audits and assist auditors in conducting annual audits, ensuring all financial records and statements are accurate and complete.
- Monitor cash flow and financial performance indicators, implementing improvements as needed.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
