About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Sonepar Management US, Inc. in Cranbury, NJ. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and conveyor systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and other industrial equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control circuits, photo eyes, motor starters, relays, switches, sensors, and timers.
  • Ensure clear and constant communication regarding potential system issues, proposed fixes, and estimated resolution timelines.
  • Track and perform routine maintenance on conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
  • Request and confirm that replacement parts are ordered and available when necessary.
Requirements
  • Electrical/electronic background and 3-5 years of related experience.
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred, however, a combination of experience and related trade school or an associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or mechanical technician programs will be considered.
  • The ability to obtain certification in maintaining Dematic systems will be required. Training will be provided.
  • The ability to read and interpret operating, maintenance, and safety documents.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills as well as strong planning and organizational skills are required.
Work Environment

This role is based out of our Cranbury, NJ Central Distribution Center. The typical warehouse environment requires the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs throughout the entire shift. The use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls is also required.

Benefits

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position with a pay range of $25-40/hr. Rate based on prior experience. Our full-time associates can participate in competitive medical plans, paid time off, and paid holidays.
