Job Summary: The Sr. Manager, Commercial Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for leading the financial analysis team and plays a crucial role in strategic decision-making and financial planning, specifically focused on commercial activities within the manufacturing sector. This role involves managing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes to support organizational goals for a company with over $500 million in annual revenue.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of financial analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Oversee financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information.
  • Conduct variance analysis and present findings to senior management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support commercial growth in manufacturing.
  • Analyze market trends and their impact on commercial operations.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to forecast revenue and expenses related to commercial activities.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of commercial projects and provide recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles and regulations.
  • Experience in financial planning for manufacturing companies with over $500 million in annual revenue.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret commercial financial data.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and their financial implications.
  • Proficiency in managing commercial budgets and forecasts.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Previous managerial experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in commercial financial planning and analysis.
