Community Reinvestment Act Regulatory Liaison

Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Regulatory Liaison serves as the bridge between our organization and regulatory authorities. The CRA Regulatory Liaison will play a critical role in ensuring the financial institutions compliance with CRA regulations and fostering positive relationships with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of CRA requirements and reporting, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to navigate audit and regulatory landscapes effectively.
*This is a Remote role anywhere within the United States.
Responsibilities- Maintain a thorough understanding of current CRA regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements to ensure accurate and timely compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders related to CRA compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, compliance, audit, risk management, and community development, to gather and provide necessary information for regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- Prepare and submit CRA compliance reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness to satisfy regulatory obligations.
- Proactively monitor changes in CRA regulations and inform internal stakeholders about potential impacts on our organization's activities.
- Provide guidance and insights to internal teams on strategies for maintaining and enhancing CRA compliance.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with regulatory agency representatives, internal stakeholders, attend meetings and engage in constructive dialogue.
- Assist in the preparation of materials for regulatory examinations and inquiries, ensuring all required documentation is organized and readily available.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for community development initiatives that align with CRA goals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and innovations related to CRA compliance.
- Participate in professional development activities to continually enhance knowledge of regulatory changes and industry developments.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Community leadership, compliance, or financial services OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Community leadership, compliance, or financial services
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, auditing, legal, or financial roles related to the Community Reinvestment Act required
- In-depth knowledge of CRA regulations, guidelines, and reporting requirements required
- Strong understanding of regulatory processes, including audits, examinations, and inquiries required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with regulatory agency representatives required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in preparing compliance reports and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in navigating regulatory landscapes and providing strategic insights to maintain compliance
- Strong problem-solving skills to address regulatory challenges and inquiries
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Large financial institution experience preferred
License, Certification Type
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) preferred but not required. Experience may compensate for certification.
The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $103,500 to $158,700 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay.
