Patient Account Liaison Surgery Center - Full-Time Position. Patient Account Liaison will be responsible for counseling patients regarding surgery costs and insurance coverage/benefits. This position will provide patients with assistance regarding their health plan benefits coverage and responsibility, as well as counsel uninsured patients on their financial status and payment options and assist in setting up payment agreements with patients. Patient Account Liaison will engage patient to provide information regarding expected responsibility for upcoming services, and assist with any questions regarding surgery benefits/expected costs. Patient Account Liaison will provide excellent internal and external customer service while performing all tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS: Formal training indicated by high school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years' experience in medical billing and accounts receivable collections. Experience with Orthopaedic, or other surgical specialty billing preferred. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Experience with face-to-face contact with patients and telephone contact with both patients and insurance payers required. Compensation ranges from $18 - $28.
