We have an exciting opportunity for an Service Desk coordinator to join our IT Department. This position is primarily responsible for all aspects of running the company Service Desk in accordance with department and company policies and procedures. The IT Service Desk Coordinator will efficiently define, classify, and assign IT issues and support requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide excellent initial support experience for staff and vendors
  • Utilize company service desk solution to create, classify, prioritize, and distribute support requests in a timely manner
  • Exercise patience and professionalism providing support in stressful situations
  • Maintenance and update of hardware and software inventory documentation
  • Work with other IT Staff and Customers to resolve issues/problems expeditiously
  • Work with and coordinate suppliers and vendors to meet support requests
  • Adapt to changing workloads and priorities, multi-tasking during busy periods
  • Receive and distribute IT department mail and packages
  • Assist other IT staff with shipments of IT material and packages to other sites
  • Prepare correspondence and presentation materials for the IT Department as required
  • Assist with enforcement of company IT Policies, standards, and procedures
  • Match IT purchasing, receiving and invoice documents and code for approval
  • Ability to abide by Smith Gardens Code of Conduct daily
  • Willingness to travel up to a week per month
COMPETENCIES:
  • Excellent interpersonal and phone skills to provide customer service focus

  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
  • Good keyboarding and word processing skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts in a business environment
  • Basic understanding of information technologies used in a business environment
  • Ability to work well with or without direct supervision
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate degree, equivalent technical certification, or 2-3 years equivalent experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle for travel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

PAY RANGE: $22 - $23 per hour

Pay rate is determined by various components including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The pay rate is one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards vary by position and location.
