Power Systems Rental Sales Manager

Altorfer Power, a leading Caterpillar Power Systems dealership, is committed to delivering exceptional power systems rental solutions. As Power Rental Sales Manager, you will drive sales revenue and profitability, inspire a high-performance sales team, and foster customer relationships.
Basic DutiesSales and Marketing Leadership:
- Achieve rental revenue and Profit After Direct (PAD).
- Collaborate with management to set and attain business goals, increase market share, and acquire new customers.
- Lead and develop a team of 5-10 rental sales representatives.
- Manage high-level accounts and maintain strong business relationships.
- Work with Caterpillar and other partners to enhance support and relationships.
- Participate in events and trade shows to promote our solutions and network.
- Implement marketing strategies to increase revenue and brand engagement.
- Employ effective negotiation and closing techniques.
Fleet Inventory Management:
- Assist with rental fleet inventory recommendations to ensure quality and diversity.
- Suggest new equipment purchases based on market demands.
- Guide decisions on retiring aging equipment to maintain a modern fleet.
Team and Operations Management:
- Ensure smooth rental operations in collaboration with service leadership.
- Report on rental activities, fleet status, and team performance.
- Develop new sales opportunities and process improvements with other departments.
- Provide exceptional customer care and address needs effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in power systems rental or sales.
- Demonstrated leadership in sales and team management.
- Financial acumen to make informed decisions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in an office environment and travel to various job sites.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment and materials.
- Adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment when required.
- A valid driver’s license and insurability required.
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
