PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • 1.4.4.3 INTEGRATED PROGRAM MANAGEMENT DATA AND ANALYSIS REPORT (IPMDAR) The Contractor shall prepare and electronically deliver all IPMDAR Formats. Reporting below level three of the CWBS IAW CDRL A014, IPMDAR shall be required for scope identified as high risk in the contractor’s Risk Management Plan IAW C.2.1.5.2 and high variance items as identified in CDRL A014 and will be required until the problem is resolved. If the Government determines there is a significant problem with respect to cost, schedule, or performance at a lower level, detailed reporting for that WBS element shall be required until the problem is resolved IAW CDRL A014.
  • 2.1.5 RISK MANAGEMENT For the life of the contract, the contractor shall perform Risk Management activities identified in this section. C.2.1.5.1 CONTRACTOR RISK MANAGEMENT PLANNING The contractor shall develop a risk management plan IAW the DoD Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management Guide (January 2017 version) and best commercial practices. The plan shall be used for the life of the contract, by the contractor to monitor management, cost, and schedule of the contract efforts and technical risks relative to contract performance. The contractor risks shall be briefed and displayed in all technical reviews, risk review board meetings, Program Management Reviews, and IPT meetings IAW CDRL A002, Agenda and Read-Ahead and CDRL A003, Minutes.
  • 2.1.5.1.1 RISK TRACKING REPORTS The contractor shall develop and deliver Risk Tracking Reports IAW CDRL B032, Risk Tracking Reports, based on the scoring criteria and template in the JLTV FoV Risk Template and Instruction IAW Attachment 0116 - Risk Management Scoring Criteria and Reporting Template. The contractor shall systematically identify and analyze all risks and shall develop mitigation plans for all red and yellow risks scored IAW Attachment 0116 - Risk Management Scoring Criteria and Reporting Template.
  • Responsible for developing customer trust and maintaining strong professional relationships with current and prospective customers, which is required to establish a detailed understanding of the customer and provide appropriate direction to AM General functional staff on identification of customer requirements and resolution of customer issues
  • Work with the program leadership to plan and manage advanced, complex, long range strategic company program funded by Government contract(s) and/or AM General funds
  • Interact or direct AM General, Government, subcontractor, teammate, or partnership personnel on a frequent basis to assure delivery of Customer, AM General and stakeholder core business programs/goals/objectives; approved execution plans are defined, balanced, and achieved on time and within budget
  • Responsible for coordinating with all necessary and appropriate internal and external supporting organizations to ensure the program is executed IAW direction from the Executive Director and Deputy Director other approved plans
  • Responsible to generate appropriate reports and briefings to provide the necessary information to make critical program business decisions in a timely manner
  • Responsible to inform senior management and staff when the potential exists for a variance of program schedule, cost and/or performance requirements
  • Conduct effective meetings and reviews with both internal and external customers ensuring customer requirements, project plans and company objectives are met in a timely manner
  • Responsible for submittal, cost schedule and performance reports deliverable to the customer
  • Understand and acknowledge fiduciary responsibility to the company
  • Participate and support planning and execution of the Annual Operating Plan
  • Participate and support the AMG Business Operating System (BOS)
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Required B.S. in Engineering, Business, or a related field. M.S. in engineering, business or related field is preferred
  • 20 or more years of program management-related experience and or support to program execution, preferably in military tactical or combat vehicles or defense industry
  • Management of engineering services is required; management experience in a defense contract is preferred
  • Demonstrated DoD Acquisition Customer experience
  • Demonstrated strategic and tactical planning to address customer needs and company goals
  • Extensive experience managing a program/project team to execute a government contract or product development efforts
  • Ability to understand complex relationships, strategies and approaches to develop plans for execution resulting in a product or service
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Must be able to work alone, as well as part of a team
  • Must be able to build consensus, make a decision, provide direction and deliver
  • Prior military or defense acquisition service preferred
PHYSICAL EFFORT
  • Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
  • Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
  • Listening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
  • Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
  • Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
  • Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
