Director of Accounting/Finance - Winter Springs, FL

Responsibilities

  • Support the CFO in carrying out the CFO's responsibilities.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and guidance with respect to the finance/accounting and purchasing departments as directed by the CFO/CEO.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CFO/CEO.
  • Assist in improving the processes and methodology for financial forecasting and budgets as well as client bids and proposals.
  • Analyze financial statements and reports.
  • Advise the CFO/CEO on financial, business, and strategic planning matters.
  • Provide insight and advice with respect to the business in order for the Company to exceed business plan targets.
  • Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is developed, embedded, and operational.
  • Establish and develop working relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Support all financial operations including the fleet and purchasing departments.
  • Develop financial processes to maximize performance and accuracy.
  • Exemplify the desired Company culture, vision, and values working closely with managers and supervisors to embed our values.
  • Help with the evaluation of internal controls.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of the documentation required for annual financial audits.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, or a Bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in finance is required.
  • A minimum five years of work experience in accounting or finance is required.
  • At least five years of work experience in leading a team of people with diverse backgrounds.
