In this role, you will assist in managing the workflow between load pullers and truck drivers to meet scheduled commitments. You will also be cross-trained to handle the Dispatch and Shipping Managers responsibilities, excluding physical lumber yard duties. > Key Responsibilities: > > - Dispatch Coordination: > - Schedule and dispatch drivers to various locations. > - Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and address routing issues. > - Confirm deliveries at customer locations. > - Analyze delivery efficiency and report safety hazards. > - Customer Service: > - Handle delivery issues and scheduling. > - Provide exceptional customer service via phone. > - Assist with returns and coordinate pick-ups. > - Administrative Support: > - Perform data entry and organize paperwork. > - Scan POs to the Accounting Department. > - Assist with inventory management and data entry. > - Safety and Compliance: > - Enforce company safety rules and report any safety hazards. > - Order diesel for machine operations and production supplies. > > Skills and Abilities: > > - Exceptional customer service and communication skills. > - High level of organizational skills and attention to detail. > - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. > - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with scheduling. > - Ability to learn and understand lumber grades and math within three months. > > Experience: > > - Entry-level management/supervisory experience (1 year required). > - Administrative experience (2-3 years required). > - Experience in manufacturing processes/systems (preferred). > > Qualifications: > > - High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred. > - Ability to understand and communicate in English; Spanish is a plus. > > Conduct: > > - Excellent attendance record, punctual and reliable. > - Positive attitude, team player, and goal-oriented. > - Safety-conscious and able to act competently in emergencies. > > Join Us:If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, apply today to become a part of our dedicated team at Associated Truss and Lumber Co.
