Job Description:

About the Role:

The HR Specialist’s position is responsible for plant Human Resources administrative activities in addition to full cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee lifecycle. The HR Specialist will provide employee relations assistance supporting approximately 700 employees. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

  • Coordinates and presents new-hire orientations, including completion of new-hire paperwork and E-Verify I-9s

  • Manages the recruiting efforts of hourly employees (weekly postings, announcement of awards, interview scheduling, background checks, drug testing, offer letters, and setting up orientation/appointments).

  • Daily administration of Workday HRIS data entry/extraction/reporting.

  • Daily management of employee files (personnel, disciplinary and confidential) and records maintenance (vacations, service awards, etc.).

  • Coordinates and assists in employee relations activities (planning, execution, community relations, problem resolution, and uniform orders/distribution).

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role, on 1st shift. Shift hours typically follow a minimum of 8 hours with a maximum of 12 hours. Shift hours are subject to change with business needs, however will provide coverage during the hours of 6:30a-3pm.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus.

  • The ideal candidate must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.

  • Must be able to frequently type on a personal PC and view a PC monitor.

  • The ability to work overtime and theweekend.
