Title: Cloud/Automation Engineer

Location: 100% remote (couple days a month on site in Salt Lake City, UT area)

Contract to Hire

Job Description:

  • Building and maintaining cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Deploying and maintaining applications on Amazon EC2 and Kubernetes
  • Deploying infrastructure and software using a combination of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshooting application deployments
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to how we securely build, deploy, and monitor software projects
  • Provide insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
  • Mentoring team members in IaC and CI/CD best practices

What you'll need to succeed:

Required experience/skills:

  • Active Secret clearance with ability to upgrade/maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II+ Certification: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
  • Expertise in Linux based environments and bash scripting
  • Expertise in Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture
  • Experience with GitLab and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Must be detail oriented, critical thinker, possess excellent problem-solving skills
  • Desire for continuous improvement and a commitment to best practices
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or additional years of experience in information technology

Desired:

  • Experience with deploying and administrating SCCM/MECM
  • Expertise in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools
  • AWS Certification (Solutions Architect Associate, Solutions Architect Professional)
  • Active Top Secret clearance
