As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations (VP) to join our leadership team. In this key role, you will contribute to shaping our business strategies and lead our operations toward sustainable growth and success.
Job Description:
The Vice President of Operations will oversee the daily operations of Fiesta Auto Insurance, focusing on driving operational efficiency and ensuring top-tier performance across all departments. This role requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in the auto insurance industry and a proven ability to manage, develop, and inspire high-performing teams. In collaboration with senior leadership, the VP will implement strategic initiatives, address emerging challenges, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
• Lead the operations team, ensuring high performance and alignment with the company's goals and values.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, including senior leaders.
• Address unprofessional behavior promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
• Manage back-office operations, including overseeing policy issuance, endorsements, and other interconnected processes.
• Monitor the productivity of the operations workforce and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
• Ensure that departmental decisions and project plans related to staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities align with the company's business plan and strategic vision.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
• Develop and execute strategies to address both known and emerging operational challenges in line with company goals.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement while maintaining a focus on the quality of service provided to customers and agents.
• Collaborate with leadership to introduce new services or technologies that enhance the customer and agent experience.
Team Development:
• Design and implement effective training programs that reinforce key processes and concepts, helping team members grow and succeed.
• Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance work processes and team performance.
• Provide constructive feedback and direction to ensure teams meet or exceed performance expectations.
Achieving Operational Efficiency:
• Oversee the implementation and use of CRM systems and other tools (including Microsoft Office Suite) to streamline operations and improve customer service.
• Ensure the efficient execution of all processes, contributing to the overall success of the company and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in the auto insurance industry.
• 8+ years of proven management experience, with a track record of leading teams to success.
• Experience with policy management systems, billing systems, and underwriting.
Skills & Competencies:
• Extensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Strong proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to plan and execute effectively.
• Proven experience in identifying and implementing technologies or services to improve operational efficiency.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both insurance and technology terminology.
