Purpose:

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Performs triage of patients and prioritizes care needs.
  • Utilizes nursing process effectively in assessing patient needs and planning appropriate follow-up/intervention.
  • Document’s assessment and interventions thoroughly and concisely
  • Develops patient education materials, triage protocols, and clinical guidelines in collaboration with physicians.
  • Uses computer system efficiently and accurately.
  • Provides patient/staff education.
  • Oversees Paramedics and Certified Medical Assistants
  • Performs specialty procedures as trained and as needed, including, but not limited to:
    • IV therapy
    • Medication administration
    • EKGs
    • Assists with procedures.
Other Duties:
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:
  • North Carolina or Compact RN license or Paramedic
  • Associate of Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Valid NC Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Preferred:
  • Experienced Emergency Nurse
  • Certifications: ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS
